How to create a perfect Christmas Card

Four simple steps to create your perfect Christmas Card. One of the best gifts to receive isn’t always what wrapped under the tree, but comes in a 5×7 envelope from the ones we love!

Step One: Schedule Family Pictures

  • While the task of scheduling a family photographer seems simple enough it is not!  Take for instance when I scheduled our family photos in July with Mellisa Hill Photography for late October…little did I know my husband would be going on a camping trip that he had also scheduled for the same time.   Lesson learned – check with all your family members before you book your family photo shoot.

Step Two: Find your Family Photo Look

  • Every photographer has a look and style that they shoot.  Getting to know your photographers portfolio will help you in picking what to wear and leads to my next point…
  • Check with your photographer for their preferred venue.  A venue determines the style of clothing you will wear.  You don’t want flip flops in the snow, or snow boots at the beach, and if you do go for it!  Knowing where you want to shoot or where your photographer wants to shoot will take your family photos to the next level.
  • Start shopping your families wardrobe for a cohesive look in clothing options appropriate for your photo location.  This may require you to make a few stops at your local Nordstroms…

Step Three: Shop Pro Digital Photos

Step Four: Order and Send out your beautiful Christmas Cards

  • If your organized and have everyone’s contacts in your computer, you will be able to use Pro Digital Photos print address on envelope option….I on the other hand – address each one.
  • I love sending my Christmas Cards right after Thanksgiving so make sure you send me your address if you want one, we love to spread the Christmas Cheer

  1. Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for
something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but
    I had to ask!

    1. Hi Johnny,

I am happy to help! I wanted a website with a landing page – not something that rolled right in to a blog roll I like navigation tools and a feeling and sense of control on a website so much of what I was seeing did not have that so I paid a little bit of money to My Marketing BFF – she sets up websites on word press you should check her out. I am soooo happy with mine. Hope this helps!
